“Janet Jackson felt like a prisoner in her own home…”

This we know because Janet’s brother and former Jackson 5 member, Randy Jackson spoke in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine.

Randy says his sister who split from her billionaire husband, Wissam Al Mana in April this year “suffered verbal abuse and felt like a prisoner in her own home” especially while she was pregnant.

It’s the first time we’ve come close to knowing why the marriage ended. Randy told PEOPLE, “It came on later in the relationship, verbal abuse and being [made to feel like] a prisoner in her own home. No pregnant woman needs to go through being called a bitch everyday. There were things like that. That’s what she went through”

Janet and Wissam welcomed their son, Eissa in January and Janet later moved out of their London home.

The star singer who has resumed her world tour has reportedly broken down in tears a number of times backstage and Randy says it’s because the harassment has not stopped.

Wissam’s attorneys responded to Randy’s claims stating that the Qatari businessman will not “dignify these particular and deeply hurtful allegations with a response”.

Richard Mofe-Damijo just kicked off filming his first television series

Just as he rightly puts it in his Instagram caption where he made the announcement on Tuesday, you’d assume the veteran actor has had a lot of production works in the bag.

But surprisingly, this is his first and as he describes it, “It has been an uphill journey as I am as challenged if not even more so than most people who have taken up similar ventures.”

Because RMD closed his note with the line, “Welcome to the wonderful world of The X Family”, we’re tempted to think that the television series will be titled ‘The X Family’.

Read all about it here:

New ventures are never easy. From conception to execution it's fraught with all kinds of challenges and emotional roller coaster. Here am not now even talking money or the resources. Just dealing with the moments of self doubt, nay-sayers, criticisms some constructive, others condemning, some destructive many reassuring. Sometimes it is a battle to keep the negatives down and stay in prayer and trust God to be God. You would think that after all these years in the business me wanting to do a TV series of my own would not be a big deal right? Lie. It has been an uphill journey as I am as challenged if not even more so than most people who have taken up similar ventures. I am my own worst critic and i set standards for myself that sometimes my partners call unfair but hey, it is what it is. Anyways, long story short, after approximately 5 years of dreaming, strategising and planning, cameras finally rolled today for my new TV series. I couldn't have done it without people like my baby of life Jumobi Mofe-Damijo @rogersofime @ninacool22 @sirfumze @mudiafrica1 @kingjfranklyn @afrinollystudios @ujejuh @taradurotoye @houseoftara_intl @ejiroamostafiri @victoriandee @interiorspecificsltd @moabudu @maitezeron @menaajakpovi and my wonderful team of creative minions who work tirelessly day and night to make Papa Bear look good. Thank you guys, God bless and enlarge your coast. For every other person wherever you are trying to start something, no matter how small or big and has doubts, just know you are not alone. We all have fears and doubts, it is what you do with them that matters. I have learned to trust the Spirit of God and He helps me ride mine, master it and let it become an inspiration to do more. Welcome to the wonderful world of The X Family. Thank you @ikogbonna for gifting me this beautiful top from #9jaurban

You need to listen to this star-studded remix of Mr Eazi’s Leg Over

We’re not sure about how to feel about this remix but maybe we’ll come to love it as much as the original, with time.

The Major Lazer trio and rappers, French Montana and TY Dolla Sign have jumped on a remix of Mr Eazi’s Leg Over.

On first listen, it sounds like a fairly successful attempt at ruining the song. Listen here:
