Benue State governor Samuel Ortom has said some unidentified Fulani persons have threatened him over the anti-open grazing law recently enacted in the state.
Ortom stated this on Wednesday while addressing members of National Council of Tiv Youths who were protesting utterances by Fulani leaders against Tiv people.
The governor said he would not rescind his decision while stating that the law would commence latest November 2017.

The scenerio in the country shows that all animals are equal but some seems to be more equal than others.
The fulani herdsmen attacks on Benue communities has continued unabeted for some time now without intervention from the FG apart from provision of relief materials through NEMA.
The identity of those behind the attacks and killings remained a zig-saw puzzle. But today it id discoverd that an associatio of the fulani herders are responsible based on their utterances on the anti-grazing and prohibition bill by the Benue State government. They have vowed to continue untill their mission which is total take over of Benue and elimination of Tiv and other etnicities in the state is achieved.
What baffles many people is that the FG is yet to issue a categorical statement in condemnation to this threat eve.even as no single herdsman has been artestearrested since this has been going on.
This indicates that all Nigerians are equal but the fulanis are more equal than the restThe FG must without delay in arresting those who acted the script and those who drafted it.
