“Gen. Flynn certainly has a story to tell” | Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn wants immunity in exchange for a testimony

The Us House Intelligence committee investigating the Russian meddling with the US elections has been discussing inviting former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to testify before the committee. However, the security veteran has been under the radar until yesterday when his lawyer revealed conditions that would make Flynn accept the invitation to testify before the committee.

Robert Kelner, Flynn’s lawyer, said in a statement late Thursday: “Gen. Flynn certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it, should the circumstances permit. … No reasonable person, who has the benefit of advice from counsel, would submit to questioning in such a highly politicized, witch-hunt environment without assurances against unfair prosecution.”

This comes after three of President Trump’s former aides, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and Carter Page expressed their willingness to testify before the committee without requesting for immunity.
President Trump asked for Flynn resignation after it was revealed that he misled Vice President Mike Pence about his communications with Sergey Kislyak, Russian ambassador to the US.
