Holyhill anniversary: Pastor Oyemade storms Abuja

Senior pastor of the Covenant Christian Centre and convener of The Platform Nigeria, Pastor Poju Oyemade will on Thursday October 30, 2014 arrive the city of Abuja as Holyhill Church marks its third anniversary.

Lead pastor of Holyhill Church, Sunday Ogidigbo, said that Pastor Oyemade will be ministering on Thursday at the Church’s Immaculate Suites, Wuse 2, Abuja centre as part of activities lined up to mark three years of Holyhill Church.

“Thursday October 30th, 2014 will be a time to give praise to God and to listen to what the Spirit will tell us going into the New Year. On Friday – which is the next day – we will thank Him for how far He has helped us. And then on Sunday we will come together for the thanksgiving service. It is pretty much a Thursday, Friday and Sunday morning event,” he said.

With an increasingly rising profile as a ministry committed to excellence, in January 2014, Holyhill Church became globally renowned as the ‘100-Dollar Church’ after the church trended on Twitter for giving everyone who worshipped at the church on a particular Sunday, a cash gift of $100 each. This came two years after popular American pastor and author, Rick Warren described the growth of Holyhill Church within a space of twelve months as “incredible”.

Holyhill Church recently set up a gospel nightclub in the city of Abuja for the ‘unchurched’ and named it – The Underground.
