Over the weekend, a 75 year old victim of the Kano Central Mosque bombing which occurred last Friday claimed three men were responisble for the attack, but he didn’t give much details.
“As soon as they arrived, they stepped out of the normal worshippers and looked every bit like worshippers until they began to operate. I was close by. I saw the three of them alight from the car. A few minutes after they walked away from the vehicle, the bombs exploded. As people tried to run away, the young men pulled out their guns and were shooting at those struggling to escape from the blast. I suffered injuries in the confusion…my survival is a miracle I really don’t know what happened to the three men,” he disclosed.
Another victim, Malam Shehu Ahmed, currently receiving treatment at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Dala, has now confirmed the figure, adding that he saw a white man at the scene of the explosion.
“I saw an uncomfortable white man enter the mosque alongside two black teenage boys who later remotely detonated the explosives in the bodies of the said boys” he told Channels Television.
The triple blast that rocked Kano Central Mosque, where the Emir of Kano normally leads prayers, killed over 150 worshippers and left over 130 injured.
It is one of the many explosions that have hit the Northern Nigeria this year.
