The Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi ll, has dismissed reports that he allegedly squandered N6bn from the coffers of the emirate.

Speaking on Sunday at a press conference at his palace, through Walin Kano, Alhaji Mahe Bashir Wali, the Emir said he never inherited such an amount from the late Emir, Ado Bayero.

Emir Sanusi said the late Ado Bayero left behind only N2.9bn.
