The nation has continued to count its losses to the rampaging terrorist sect Boko Haram. According to reports released by the military today,at least 35 people have been killed in a fresh attack which also left 14 people injured.
The attack occurred in a remote village in Borno State since Monday but went undiscovered by the army troops because the phone lines in the region were cut and also because of how far flung the village is.
According to the defence spokesman:
“Boko Haram people attacked the village on the ground that they have refused to cooperate with them, that they refused their message,” defence spokesman Brigadier General Chris Olukolade told AFP of the incident in Dumba. “The report that was presented has it that 35 people were killed and 14 wounded.”
