After Nigerian rapper, Mode 9, drew attention to what he considers similarities between his song, My Skin is Black and Jay Z’s The Story of O.J, a Nigerian artist, Blackface has expressed his own thoughts. He asked if it is “song theft or ideas cutting across borders?”

Blackface, who has previously accused 2Baba of song theft, said Jay Z remade Mode 9’s track (My Skin is Black) in a slower beat but having the bounce.

He also said fans will instead downplay Mode 9’s accusation, asking him where he had kept the song since 2008.
