Aide de Camp (ADC) to the former president Goodluck Jonathan, Moses Jitoboh, has debunked the allegation that he was arrested by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Family sources had claimed that EFCC officials arrested Jitoboh Sunday afternoon at the Presidential Villa, and that they’ve heard nothing of him since.
Also EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, on Tuesday said that there was no truth in the claim. He said, “It is not true. If indeed he was arrested, it may have been another agency, definitely not the EFCC.”
Last night Jitoboh said that he was at the Presidential Villa on Sunday, but he left after about 30 minutes, adding, “maybe that was where they picked the story.”
He said he changed his phone numbers lately and so the reporters who ran the story couldn’t reach him to confirm the issue.
