The victim
A man in the American state of Illinois has been arrested and charged after reports that he killed his friend.
29-year-old James Paul Harris is said to have cut off the head of James Gerety, his friend, with guitar strings.
Harris then allegedly kept his friend’s severed head in a bag so that he could talk to him.
The remains of the deceased were found after the girlfriend of the suspect’s father raised an alarm upon finding a part of his skull.
The accused reportedly confessed to the crime and admitted to his ex-girlfriend that he had shot and tortured Mr. Gerety.
He has however denied the murder charge and will be tried in June.
