The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) on Tuesday asked for foreign assistance for the actualization and alleged marginalization of the people of the South-East.
The group said this in a march by its members to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the group in Asaba, Delta State.
Zonal coordinator, Emeka Okafor while speaking said the group would not relent until it achieves the independence of ‘Biafra Republic’.
Okafor applauded for turning out in their numbers for the celebration, while stating that its members were not involved in criminal acts as widely speculated.
“They (policemen) were around but we were changing position because I know that they were ready to kill anybody, they are always against the law. We did the celebration with wisdom and I thank our leader, Ralph Uwazuriuke, for his leadership style,” Okafor said.
