On to the next one – Washington Post | President Trump is here for fake news

President Donald Trump fired shots at The Washington Post and the tax practices of Amazon all in one tweet Wednesday, complaining that the “fake news” newspaper was protecting the online retail giant from tax liabilities with its coverage.

“The #AmazonWashingtonPost, sometimes referred to as the guardian of Amazon not paying internet taxes (which they should) is FAKE NEWS!” Trump wrote.

This is not a first for the President who has previously suggested that Amazon should be paying more than it currently does in taxes. Last October in Pennysylvania, Trump remarked that “Amazon, who also controls Washington Post, should be paying massive taxes but it’s not paying. It’s a very unfair playing field and you see what that’s doing to department stores all over the country.”

President Trump has been on a daily criticism of the mainstream media which he believes is unfair with media coverage of his administration. The criticisms come after CNN retracted a story tying a Trump transition team member Anthony Scaramucci and the head of a Russian investment fund.
