According to PR Nigeria, the nation’s troops are engaged in a firefight with Boko Haram insurgents.

The report by the government’s information agency stated that soldiers are currently repelling attacks by terrorists around Maiduguri and Mongunu, in Borno State.

It is believed that the soldiers have successfully repelled several attempts by terrorists to attack and takeover the towns in recent time.

As a result of employing intelligence gathering and pre-emptive strikes by the troops, more attacks of the Boko Haram insurgents, are being successfully tackled.
