A Brazilian mother named all 15 of her children Walter, the same name given to the couple’s 33 grandchildren.
Erotides Brandao promised to call her first baby after her husband Walter and he was so pleased by this that he asked his wife if all of their children could be named after him following the birth of Walterlucia, according to femalefirst.co.uk
As well as their first born, the couple — who are from Paraiba, north east Brazil, and have 33 grandchildren all called Walter — went on to have another eight daughters and six sons called Walterlivia, Walterlenia, Walterlonia, Walterlacia, Walterluzia, Walterluana, Walterangelina, Waltersilviana, Walteremanuel, Walterluis, Walteroliver, Waltermarcelo, Walterlicinio and Walterfernando.
Unfortunately Erotides’ husband Walter died in 2003 aged 81, but she still can’t quite believe how many kids they had.
The 88-year-old woman told Brazil’s Globo G1 website: “He asked to put his name on all of our children.
“I didn’t know so many would come, but we never knew how to say no to each other.’’
