Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to postpone the Ondo governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 26.
Fayose said this while reacting to the victory of the party’s candidate, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, at the Court of Appeal.
He asked the commission to postpone the election just like it did during the Edo governorship election.
He said, “Postponing this governorship election remains the best option if INEC is truly an unbiased umpire.
“I commend the Court of Appeal panel as the judgement should not have been otherwise because you cannot cover the truth. l have said it ab initio that charlatans in PDP are colluding with INEC and some elements to undermine our party.”
He alleged that some persons were colluding with INEC to destroy the party.
He said, “It is regrettable that some charlatans can be colluding with INEC and others to destroy our party. This is very regrettable and unfortunate.
“As it is now, the commission has no reason not to postpone this election because what the INEC did was a deliberate action to weaken our party.
“This judgment coming at this time is a major setback for our party, which I believe can only be cured if this election is postponed.”

Comment:Well since the appeal court judgement is nebulous, vague and ambiguous ,move on to s/c for proper interpretation of legal ambiguity..
