Indications on Thursday suggest that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has zoned the position of national chairman to the South-West, while the South-South was handed the deputy national chairmanship.
According to The Punch zoning was done at the Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt, where the PDP governors met.

According to reports, a former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, said he was unaware of the development because he had fallen sick lately.
