The Benue State Police Command on Tuesday confirmed the release of Radio journalist, Mrs Iyuadoo Tor-Agbidye.

Agbidye was kidnapped at her house in Makurdi on Friday.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, ASP Moses Yamu, confirmed the release to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

According to Yamu, no ransom was paid for her release in the early hours of Tuesday.

He explained that investigations revealed that the kidnappers had a connection with the family.

He said investigations were still ongoing as some arrests have been made.
