Muhammad Abdallah has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the new Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
The appointment was announced on Monday, January 18, by the Secretary to Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, through a statement signed by Bolaji Adebiyi, Director of Press, SGF Office.
The appointment of Abdallah took effect from January 11 and will be for a first tenure of five years.
The new NDLEA boss is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Nigeria Army.
According to the statement, Abdallah is ‘a Professional Security Officer whose public service career spanned over 30 years during which he served in various capacities and strategic positions in the military’.
