The Senior Special Assistant to the President just got on the Big Brother Nigeria finale trend and sadly, he’s not the first one in the political class to do so. Suspended legislator, Abdul Mumin Jibrin was the first to take a stab at it when he tweeted this:
“I have put up my eviction bet in this order marvis- Debbie – T boss – Bisola then Efe NB no suprise though if Bisola goes before T boss”
Senator Murray-Bruce joined when he posted a congratulatory tweet for Efe after the winner was announced.
We had already started to see a pattern that would have led us to believe completely that it’s not only Nigerian that got distracted from #Budget2017 with #BBNaija but the legislators too!
And then the Presidency jumped on the waggon and we figured: “Oh everyone is just trying to get on the trend”.
For real, what he had to say had nothing to do with the #BBNaija trend, nor did it require the “Based on logistics” phrase he started with. But he used it anyway:
Based on Logistics, PMB is committed to delivering on the 3 key areas that he promised (Tackling Corruption, fixing the Economy & Security).

For us, it feels like when your parents find out about Instagram or Snapchat and they express some interest in using the Apps. It’s cute but it can be embarrassing for the most part.
How do you feel about it?
