The body of a Nigerian student, who had jumped into the Hudson River after being caught cheating in school, has been found by police in New York.

17-year-old Omotayo Adeoye has been described as a brilliant student and she was attending one of New York’s finest schools.

Adeoye jumped into the River on may 29th and police found her body after a week long search.

The deceased was caught cheating on a difficult German Language exam and was allegedly humiliated by her teacher, Eva Malikova in front of the entire class.

She left a suicide note which read “I just want to go away forever on the bottom of the river.”
