A Senegalese religious TV channel on Monday broadcast a hardcore porn movie, BBC reports.

The video by Touba TV caused shock amongst viewers when it was aired between 13:10 and 13:30 local time.

The National Audiovisual Regulatory Council, which spotted the slip-up has demanded an explanation from the channel.

The channel has said that a troublesome “network bug” had caused the material to air.
