Sporadic shooting has been reported in Southern Ijaw LGA, as the Bayelsa supplementary election process continues.
A shooting incident was reported in ward 1, Agoibiri, South Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State.
At least two people have been injured by stray bullets. Irate youths are also said to be in possession of voting materials.
Another shooting incident was reported at Amatolo community, which made it impossible for election materials to be taken there by INEC ad-hoc officials.
Meanwhile, in Ekeowe community, political thugs were reported to have threatened and intimidated officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Community leaders had to intervene before the situation could be resolved.
