The Kwara State police command, has discovered an abandoned complex of buildings on Lagos-Ilorin Expressway, in the Ilorin International Airport area, suspected to be a hideout for criminals, dealing in human parts and other criminal activities.
Some of the items allegedly discovered in the six buildings of about 18 flats, said to be owned by an 85 year-old socialite, include decomposed human bodies, a decomposing headless body, decomposed human feet, snail shells, piece of cloth suspected to be used in strangulating victims, female underwear, National Youth Service Corps’ (NYSC) cap, shoes, cap, eye glasses, hand set cover, sandals, among other personal belongings.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin on Monday, the state police commissioner, Ambrose Aisabor, said the command’s special undercover agents, acting on “highly potent intelligence,” with the supply of information from members of the public, discovered the criminal hideout.
The police boss, who said no arrest has been made on the case, added that the aged socialite, who allegedly owns the place and suspected to be a native of Oro town in Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, was being interrogated.
