Nigerians began this week optimistic as the naira gains against the US Dollar, rising to 980/$.
On November 3, the naira gained 980/$ in the parallel market, a new high for the Nigerian currency as it once dropped to 1,300/$, crashing the Nigerian market.
Tinubu meets with French presidential envoy for return of $150 million stolen Abacha loot

The President of Nigeria met with a presidential envoy from France as the French country returned the stolen loot of the late General Sani Abacha, a military head of state of Nigeria.
Nigeria is expected to receive $150 million from France and acknowledge the signing of an agreement of €100 million between the two countries to support the i-DICE programme, a government initiative to improve investment in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Creative Arts Industries.
Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Technology, signed the agreement with Catherine Colonna, the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Rwanda welcomes all Africans to visit without visa requirements

Rwanda has now followed in the footsteps of Kenya since it announced its visa-free policy for all Africans.
Shortly after Kenya announced visa-free travel to all Africans, a Central Asian country, Kazakhstan, also announced that it would now accept 80 countries into its territory without visas.
Rwanda is the latest country to make such a decision, as it also aims to promote the tourism economy and elevate the country’s tourist destination rank at the 23rd global summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
NLC set to embark on strike following assault on its president Ajaero

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), along with the Trade Union Congress (TUC), have both come out to express their rage against the unlawful actions taken by the president of the organised labour union, Joe Ajaero.
The unions have requested the investigation of the Imo State Police Commissioner as they had captured the NLC president and beaten him while blindfolded, then denied ever doing such to him.
In retaliation, the organised labour unions have announced they will no longer guarantee industrial peace in Nigeria; hence, they will embark on strike starting November 8.
Shehu Sani speaks on the feud between BUA Group and Dangote

The former lawmaker of the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the news of Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote trying to stifle the businesses of rival BUA Group.
On November 3, BUA Group replied to the recent allegations thrown its way by Aliko Dangote. In it, BUA Group stated that it has had a long history of challenges and conflicts from Dangote, with documents dating as far back as the 90s.
The Senator, Shehu Sani, took to social media to inquire why both companies (BUA Group and Dangote Group) were quarrelling.
