Strikes are a way of life in Nigeria. They are the last resort for organizations seeking to bend the Federal Government to their will, particularly after failed negotiations. From the health sector to the oil and gas sector to the transportation sector and of course, the education sector, the reliance on strike is overwhelming. Of all the sectors, though, students are usually the worst hit because more often than not, they might sit at home from one month to upwards of a year.
But there’s a hidden treasure in stikes and Chude Jideonwo, co-founder of RED shares from the wealth of his knowledge:
Be thankful that the ASUU strike gives you the opportunity to actually work on yourself and prepare yourself for the real world.

ASUU strike can never be a means to self worth discovery. Nothing to be thankful about. https://t.co/dX8pPc0rSz

Alright. Your right. I hope the young people here ignore you though, and use it to build themselves as I used it to build myself. https://t.co/F3rC27kr1J

Yo! ASUU's 4month strike in 2009 made me start learning graphics design. 2 yrs after, I got a good job as a creative director without NYSC!

ASUU strike is not a good thing, but it's an OPPORTUNITY to grow yourself. We don't have Unis in Nig according to World University Ranking.
