By no means a quiet PDP member, Demola Olarewaju is berating the current APC-led government for not doing enough to halt the spread of the deadly Lassa virus. He went ahead to call out those who attributed the success of the end of Ebola’s scourge solely to Fashola, asking why the same force of action is lacking in eradicating Lassa fever.
See below:
So Lassa Fever has now killed more people in Lagos (yesterday) and infected about three health workers who were treating the patients.

This makes it well over 100 people killed by Lassa Fever so far and you people don't agree APC is incompetent in everything except lying?
— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
The simple-minded fellows that said Fashola's stopped Ebola as Governor – how far?
Now that he's Minister, can't he stop Lassa Fever?
— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
There's zero sense of awareness and public alertness on Lassa Fever in Lagos – if one says the thing will spread, it's not a curse.
— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
Heard a pregnant woman is among the sadly deceased, one doctor is also infected with it and two nurses also… Right there in LUTH.

"The reward for hard work is more hard work" they said of Fashola.
Can't we add the Ministry of Health to his purview for this Lassa Fever?
— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
Over 150 people quarantined in LUTH alone – how many are roaming the streets of Lagos already? Where are the precautions that stopped Ebola?
— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
Be safe out there friends, Lassa Fever is in Lagos and may God keep you and yours safe.
Government?
We have a most incompetent one in APC.— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
Reactions:
But Fashola is not the Minister of Health .A Governor is the chief executive of a State , While a Minister role is limited to his portfolio https://t.co/ydE31NMqiu
— Alli-Balogun H.Lekan (@allibaloo) August 10, 2017
Since he single-handedly stopped Ebola, loaning him to the ministry of health should be the most logical step, no? https://t.co/hYGnCZOKLd
— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
Ebola had trajectory and you know what to look for .
How do get rid of the rats that carry the virus? https://t.co/zUUPeYlLxS

At what point did we stop putting the responsibility on Govt, especially a Govt that promised so much under the guise of #Change?
— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
Lassa Fever gave advance warning since last year and since it first broke, has managed to kill over 100, added 3 more yesterday in Lagos.

Govt is sleeping,
Civil Society is sleeping,
Media is sleeping,
President is resting.Nigerians are crying,
Nigeria is dying.— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) August 10, 2017
Collective inertia in Nigeria because people assume APC knows what it's supposed to be doing in Govt.
Breaking News: They are Clueless.
