Today is June 12. In Nigeria, June 12 is significant for two reasons: first for the man, M.K.O Abiola whom people described as “larger than life” and symbolised charity, freedom and a detribalised Nigeria. Second for democracy.
June 12, Twitter NG agrees is Nigeria’s true democracy day, because for the first and only time we daresay, Nigeria held its freest and fairest elections. And the military Head of State at the time thwarted the will of the people by annulling the elections.
