The Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba has redeployed 17 Senior officers of the Force to different parts of the country as a way to ensure a successful election.
The redeployment affects 6 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), 5 Assistant Inspector Generals (AIGs) and 6 Commissioners of Police (CPs).
Consequently, the CPs posted are expected to cover their new Commands only for the period of election.
Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Mohammadu Buhari (retd.), on Friday held his last media briefing before Saturday’s crucial elections.
Buhari told reporters that he was in the race in response to the yearning of Nigerians for positive change.

Olanusi became the deputy governor of Ondo in 2009 as a member of the Labour Party (LP).

Several commercial banks in Owo, Ondo State have been attacked by armed robbers.
Reports reaching Channels Television say that many people have been killed in the syndicated armed robbery operation in many of the commercial banks in the town.
One of the commercial banks is said to have been set ablaze.

Amaechi, who was at the Government House, Port Harcourt Thursday morning for a crucial meeting with the caretaker chairmen of the 23 LGAs of the state and other stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is the Director-General of Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation and the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).
