US President, Donald Trump has dismissed Hillary Clinton’s comment that she would have been president had the election held two weeks earlier.
On Tuesday while speaking with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour at a Women for Women event in New York Clinton said she was on her way to victory before “a combination of Jim Comey’s letter on October 28 and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me and got scared off.”
But reacting to Clinton’s claim, Trump via his personal Twitter account said she was just giving an excuse and should be glad she was given “a free for many bad deeds” by FBI director, James Comey.
“FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds! The phoney Trump/Russia story was an excuse used by the Democrats as justification for losing the election. Perhaps Trump just ran a great campaign?” he tweeted.
