Captain of the Super Falcons, Evelyn Nwabuoku has said the team was not planning to boycott the Africa Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon next months over unpaid allowances contrary to reports.
“I don’t know of any play to boycott the tournament. We are aiming to win the title again.
“But the NFF should try and settle monies owed to us so that we can be highly motivated,” said Nwabuoku.
Nwabuoku said the team need motivation during the tournament, while urging the NFF to pay outstanding allowances.
“We need to have quality preparations because in Cameroon we going to face teams that equally well prepared. We need all the motivation we can get,” she added.
The Falcons had previously been owed when they played all games at the 2014 tournament and won without getting paid.
