Following the reported arrest of Dubai-based Instagram big boy, Hushpuppi and his associate, Woodberry, a lot of other discussions in relation to the level of pressure many men feel in life.
However, in a recent trend on Twitter, people are speaking about what it means to date someone who is living a flashy lifestyle and otherwise. It all started when a popular user, tweeted about a man named Tosin and how he has been trying to get a girl who pointed out that she wouldn’t date him, even though he was earning 220,ooo naira.
Apparently a young man earning N220K in Lagos is an average/mediocre guy for a lot of our 23-25 year old ladies. You graduated in 2016. Tosin graduated in 2016. You expect Tosin to have a car, a house, earn N750K per month, but you don’t. Have mercy on these young men nau🙏🏽😊😊

The tweet opened a conversation on the struggles and pressure men go through in life, in order to satisfy women and society. Reacting to @OgbeniDipo’s tweet, many guys attacked women who thought this way as many women defended proponents of such thoughts:

While ‘Tosin’ was just a name the Twitter user used, a few people have made jokes out of the point as they cleared the air on the people they know with the name. Some ladies, however, encouraged ‘Tosin’ to work harder. Others pointed out that before they can settle with any man, he has to be earning a little above 500k.
