Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives, says he hasn’t had to struggle to attain anything in his life… even though he’s presently caught in the middle of a struggle for power and control of his party, the All Progressives Congress.
Dogara, was not his party’s candidate for the Speakership of the federal parliament, but without any iota of struggle, he blatantly disobeyed the APC and stood for election… and won.
No struggle exerted and he defeated Femi Gbajabiamila to become Speaker of the 8th Assembly.
On Sunday, June 28, during his third Thanksgiving Service, since becoming Speaker, Dogara said since he met God, things have easily come his way without fighting for them- just like the Speakership.
Dogara’s first Thanksgiving Service was at the Living Faith Church Goshen City, Karu, Nasarawa, while the second one was at the Church of Christ In All Nations (COCIN), Tafawa Balewa, Bauchi State.
During his third attempt at thanking God at the Winners Chapel, Durumi, Abuja, the speaker said that ever since he encountered God before his university days, he never lacked any good thing.
He said: “Ever since I met God through this commission at a tender age, I have not had to struggle for anything in life. I never had any reason to struggle nor lack any good thing in my life.”
