Former commissioner for Finance in Ogun state, Kemi Adeosun, was comprehensively quizzed at the ministerial screening on Wednesday.
After answering series of questions, Kemi Adeosun was allowed to bow and go.

1. We need creative-innovative solutions to add value to our country and our economy.
2. I understand what it means to run a business. We need innovative, creative solutions.
3. I believe Nigeria can be one of the top 20 economies in the world and I will like to contribute quota .
4. We need to chase out cash. Every where that people transact in cash, there are leakages.
5. We need to seek out other forms of cash transfer that faces out physical cash.
6. Inclusive growth creates job and wealth, we need to invest primarily in infrastructure.
7. The biggest creator of wealth in Nigeria should be the private sector not public sector.
8. We need to stimulate our economy by investing heavily in infrastructure, it will help us avoid recession.
9. As long as it is cheaper to ship in tomato paste from Amsterdam to Lagos, we’re not going to create jobs.
10. TSA was introduced in Ogun state in 2011, which consequently reduced borrowing by the state government.
11. Banks are not in business to sit on government money. It’s bad economics.
12. Markets tend to overreact when there is a shock or a slight depression, hence, the recent recession projections.
13. We must review the use of waivers & concessions and be transparent about who has benefited.
14. There must be transparency around who has been granted waivers and for what reason.
15. Our interest rates are far too high. It’s very difficult to make a profit with these interest rates.
