by Isi Esene

With less than six months to the 2015 presidential elections the political turf is finally opening up with the official release of former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar’s campaign video.

The former VP who is no-doubt a front-runner in the race to be the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer in next year’s election has released a 4-minute video stating his intent.

Atiku, who has never hidden his ambition to lead the country, is expected to slug it out with several political heavyweights in his party one of whom is the former military Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).

Buhari contested and lost to President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2011 presidential elections.

“It is my desire to give back to this country all that is within my power to do,” Atiku says.

With many political hopefuls still engaging in sundry consultations, Atiku Abubakar appears to be quickest on the block stating his intention and laying bare his campaign’s focus on strong leadership, qualitative education, security, building a vibrant economy and more.
