Governor of Imo, Rochas Okorocha says the issue between President Muhammadu and his wife, Aisha Buhari has been taken out of context by many Nigerians.

Buhari while responding to a question during the trip said his wife, Aisha belongs to his kitchen.

The first lady had told the BBC Hausa service she would not support her husband’s re-election bid in 2019 if he doesn’t change his cabinet.

According to him, the statement by the first lady was not to pull down the government but to ensure peace and harmony within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking on the issue, Okorocha said, “Our nation is passing through a trying moment now, very difficult times ranging from economic, security to political challenges. This is the time all Nigerians irrespective of political parties, religion or culture must come together to see what we can do to salvage the situation and build a Nigeria of our collective hopes and aspiration.

 

“If the issue was the one that had to do with how to move Nigeria forward, nobody will make comments or talk about it but once it is anything that is perceived to be in the negative, Nigerians are awake,” he said.
