The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs, Hameed Ali on Thursday appeared before the Senate in mufti despite an invitation stating that he should appear in his uniform.
Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu asked why he was not in uniform as requested.
In response, Ali said the letter of invitation by the Senate did not mention that he should appear in uniform.
Ekweremadu stated that the last letter was a reminder to the first letter which stated that he should appear in uniform.
The Senate later asked Ali to reappear before it in uniform.
Ali had earlier refused to honour the Senate’s invitation twice before Thursday.
