The Rivers state Election Petition Tribunal, has nullified the election of 20 state House of Assembly members.
The tribunal sitting in Abuja, also nullified the election of the state assembly speaker, Owaji Ibami.
The National and State House of Assembly Tribunals for the state, delivered judgement on petitions involving the state lawmakers on Monday, October 26.
All the sacked state lawmakers belong to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Owing to the nullification of the election of the 21 lawmakers, only 12 lawmakers remain in the Rivers Assembly.
