Third runner up at the maiden edition of the West African Idols, Eric Arubayi is dead.

The Gospel singer, who was in his 30s reportedly died on Saturday at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital.

Eric was said to have fallen ill during the week and was rushed to the hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Chinonso and a son.
