Nigerian troops have killed not less than 200 Boko Haram insurgents at Askira Uba.
The firefight occurred on Saturday, January 10, at the border town between Adamawa and Borno States.
The insurgents were reportedly attempting to penetrate Damaturu through the town but were repelled by the troops who were stationed in the area.
The terrorists are believed to have earlier attempted to attack Damaturu on Friday, but were forced back by the military, during an battle-fight that lasted for several hours.
