A Toyota Sienna bus this afternoon skidded off the Third Mainland Bridge and plunged into the Lagos Lagoon.

Reports say the lone occupant of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was immediately taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The ever busy bridge which connects the Lagos Mainland to the Island was congested with motorists trying to catch a glimpse of the rescue operation.
