Traditions can be challenging to follow when you have your dreams to chase, and this becomes the plight of a young girl stuck between fulfilling her father’s wish of honouring his late mother and following her dreams of becoming a rapper.
“Salamatu’s Rhapsody” is a test to prove how Salamatu can cope with the pressure from her family and go after her dreams in northern Nigeria.
The movie is written and directed by Abu-Bakr Adamu and Adejumo Oluwatimilehin and stars Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim, Habiba Zock-Sock, Wapi Barau, James Oche Ameh, and Maimuna Dikk.
Although there is no specific release date for the movie, “Salamatu’s Rhapsody” is set to come out in the fourth quarter of 2024.
