The feud between Nigerians and South Africa came out of nowhere, and it is one that not too many can explain as both countries have shown strong social and economic ties in the past. In recent times, there have been a lot of xenophobic reports from South Africa against Nigerians.
For the most part, South Africans blame Nigerians for half the crimes committed in their country, ranging from drug dealing to prostitution. Nigerians on their own, tag South Africa and other African countries as just generally being insecure about themselves.
In a recent trend that started from South Africa and has found its way to Nigeria, #NigeriansMustFall, South Africans are calling for Nigerians to exit their country accusing them of inciting corruption in their land.
What led to this?
A viral video made its way to the internet and in the video, a South African lady was seen dancing unclad for some Nigerians, which according to South Africans, are internet fraudsters.

Reacting to the video, South Africans have once again, blamed Nigerians for inciting immorality and corruption in their country, hence, Nigerians must go.

Some South Africans however, are of the opinion that Nigerians are not to be blamed for the issue of immorality and corruption in their country as they asked their people to face the real enemies – people in power. Nigerians on this trend, however, have pointed out that South Africa like many other African countries are always feeling inferior around them.

Other South Africans have also stressed that the #NigeriansMustFall trend is beyond just the video that went viral, as they are pointing out that the South African government is known to always ignore her citizens by considering foreigners first. The pointed out that this trend is a wake-up call for the South African government to put her citizens first.
