It has emerged that Angel Di Maria and his family were victims of a terrifying burglary on Saturday night.
According to reports, the intruders gained access to his Cheshire mansion, by using scaffolding poles to smash their way through patio doors.
The break-in happened around 7.30pm, after the Argentina winger played in Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford and was having dinner with his wife and one-year-old daughter.
United’s security team eventually showed up and whisked Di Maria and his family away. It is understood that the 26-year-old is currently staying at a hotel.
A source told the UK Sun that the burglars were not able to access the house, because the alarm went off and the Police showed up promptly.
