The Presidential Campaign Organisation of the All Progressive Congress, has accused Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, of trailing Muhammadu Buhari, in the United Kingdom.
The APC campaign organisation implored on President Goodluck Jonathan to call the governor to order, over his obsession with the health status of the presidential candidate of the party.
In a statement issued by Garba Shehu on Saturday, February 21, the opposition party stated that Fayose has a death-wish for Buhari, while alleging that he’s gone ahead to hire people to trail him while in London.
Shehu said: “Let it be on record that knowing Governor Fayose’s antecedents, we are not leaving anything to chances. The governor who has published death-wish advertorials on Buhari will stop at nothing.”
“If anything should happen to General Muhammadu Buhari while in London or anywhere, the authorities over there in the UK and at home should know who to hold responsible.”
While reacting to the allegation, Fayose’s aide on new media, Lere Olayinka, neither confirmed nor denied its veracity.
He said: “The APC should come to equity with clean hands and accept the burden of presenting an old and analogue Buhari as its candidate and stop blaming Fayose for exposing to Nigerians what they are covering concerning Buhari’s health status.”
