“They need to check the strategy they are adopting” | Atiku ‘I-am-not-going-back-to-PDP’ Abubakar is now criticising Buhari’s campaign

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has explained why he has been absent at All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rallies – and no, it’s not because he is angry.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Hausa on Friday, March 20, Atiku said he had not been invited to the campaign rallies and that he he would not attend the campaigns if not invited.

“There are minor irregularities in connection with the system being followed by the campaign team of General Buhari but we are trying to correct it. They need to check the strategy they are adopting,” he said.

He also denied viral claims and reports that he was planning to return to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku said he had informed the director of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, that if he is not invited to the rallies, he would not attend.

Atiku lost the APC presidential ticket to General Muhammadu Buhari at the party’s primary elections.
