A wanted member of the Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram, has been arrested by troops of 7 Multinational Joint Task Force Brigade Quick Response Group (QRG) stationed in Baga.
The arrested insurgent is serial number 95 on the first list of 100 wanted Boko Haram leaders..
According to Colonel Sani Usman, Acting Director Army Public Relations, the terrorist was ‘fatally wounded in the exchange of fire’.
He was arrested when the 118 Task Force Battalion, ‘sprang an ambush along Daban Masara axis used by Boko Haram terrorists elements to convey logistics’.
The insurgent would subsequently die while receiving medical attention at the army base, while other members of his team were said to have escaped with gunshot wounds.
