Apparently, as expected people already has started picking faults, looking errors in the President’s actions.
One Rosanwo on his twitter handle complained that President Muhammadu Buhari left the inauguration lunch to attend Jumat prayer.
He alleged at Buhari left the heads of state at the lunch while the programme was still on to attend Jumat prayer on Friday, May 29.
An action he didn’t find acceptable stating that diplomatically unacceptable, should have made sure Presidential engagements shouldn’t clash with his Religion.
Democracy day fell on Friday which is a general prayer day for Muslims, which Buhari is one, there is certainly no way events wouldn’t clash for Jumat prayers. He couldn’t have left without informing those there to celebrate him, his VP would have presided the event.
Although the President, he has a right to his religion and that isn’t biased.
Below are the tweets and some responses:
Just learnt @MBuhari left African head of states without notice to attend Jumat prayers. That is unacceptable in diplomatic relations

Was @MBuhari not shown the order of events before Friday? Could he not have asked his aides to schedule events not to clash with Jumat?

The only reason a president should leaving head of states who are his guests is to attend to national security. — Rosanwo (@rosanwo) May 30, 2015
Now @MBuhari is president, he is bound by the burden of that office. Jetting off to London without informing his aides is not acceptable. — Rosanwo (@rosanwo) May 30, 2015
President @MBuhari has a right to his religion, reason more why he should ensure presidential engagements are not scheduled for Jumat time

@rosanwo May 29th was on a Friday, there was no way events wouldn’t clash with Jumat prayers. Don’t make a fuss about it.

@rosanwo that isn’t verifiable whether he left unannounced. His VP presided over & told them why d president was absent.
