On Friday, some loyalists of Chris Giwa laid siege upon the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) headquarters of the body in Abuja.
This comes 24 hours after the sports committee of the house of representatives asserted to have sorted out the on-going crisis in the football glasshouse.
According to The Cable, they came in several cars in an attempt to overthrow the leadership of the football body.
They were however, denied access to the offices by the NFF staff.
The website stated that three executive members of the football body Christian Emeruwa, NFF’s national security officer, Tunde Aderibigbe, NFF’s coordinator on political matters and Ademola Olajire, the federation’s head of communications, were attacked during the fracas.
The policemen have nevertheless swooped in to calm the situation at the secretariat.
