Daar Communications PLC, owners of AIT, have apologised to Mustapha Jokolo, a former aide de camp of President Muhammadu Buhari over a defamatory documentary the station aired.
Recalling, AIT broadcasted a documentary titled, ‘The Real Buhari’, alleging that Jokolo cleared 53 suitcases suspected to contain raw cash at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in 1984, when Buhari was Head of State.
Jokolo, in reaction, filed a libel suit against the broadcaster where an out of court settlement was reached, of which one of the conditions is that the story be retracted and a public apology tendered.
