The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will on Thursday arraign a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.
Fani-Kayode is being charged for money laundering by the anti-graft agency for allegedly receiving N26m from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
The PDP chieftain is the sole defendant in the fresh charges numbered, FHC/ABJ/CR/140/2016, before Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Fani-Kayode was arrested by the Commission on October 21, 2016 in Lagos. He has been visited by Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose, leaders of his party, and Catholic Bishop of Sokoto diocese, Matthew Kukah.
The EFCC has been accused of plotting to kill Fani-Kayode in detention, by one of his aides, Jude Ndukwe.
